Comings and Goings in NCAA Hoops

Most of the top high school recruits have already decided which schools will get their services next year. Some, however, understand their potentical NCAA basketball value and are waiting until the last minute to pump up their value and decide on the best program.

Jai Lucas, one of the top point guard prospects coming out of high school, is waiting until next week to make his decision. Coaches are still switching teams and college players are making their decisions to enter the NBA draft. Lucas wants to know that he will get the maximum amount of playing time and the best possible coaching situation. Florida is one of his top choices, but just a few weeks ago it was unclear whether coach Billy Donovan would remain at Florida and if their star point guard, Taurean Green, would declare for the draft.

Now that the picture of his future is getting clearer Lucas can make a more informed decision… even if he’ll only stays at the school for one season.
