Conference Hoops Previews: ACC

March Schlabach is taking a look at a few of the more powerful conferences in the NCAA Basketball world. He has developed short summaries of each team in the ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac-10, and SEC, yet fallen short of placing them in any kind of order or prediction about rank. That business you’ll have to talk to Andy Katz about.

The teams are put in alphabetical order, so don’t get too excited Boston College fans. Though the Eagles might have a good year yet, they also have a lot of missing players to account for, including Jared Dudley, Sean Williams and Sean Marshal. The best in this conference looks to be North Carolina, a team that is ranked as one of the top returning programs in the country, despite losing Brandan Wright. They will most likely be followed in the polls leading up to the start of the season by their fiercest rivals, the Duke Blue Devils, who lost McRoberts but kept DeMarcus Nelson and Jon Scheyer, among others.

The other teams are all briefly analyzed, but to get a real look at how the teams are doing, you should probably get ACC basketball tickets at StubHub.com.
