It’s Funny Friday at the Final Four Blog, so you know what that means: Bob Knight news. You might remember that Texas Tech coach Bobby Knight was earlier involved in a bloggers’ dream- a quail shooting incident that left one rancher with a barn full of buckshot, and the college basketball world with a nice story to discuss at the water cooler. This week there’s a pretty boring story about Knight, but the guy just simply demands some attention in the blogosphere whenever he’s making the news. Knight was apparently reprimanded by the Big 12 for comments he made about the officiating in a game that the Texas Tech Red Raiders played against the New Mexico Lobos a few weeks back. Knight thought that a buzzer-beating basket shouldn’t have counted, and said so in no uncertain terms. That’s the story. You can read all about it at CBSsportsline.com.
As far as Bobby Knight news goes, this one is pretty tame. Knight will probably be making more regular appearances in this blog as the games get more intense, but for now, you loyal readers will have to settle for this.
