Did you see the Notre Dame-Providence overtime game last night? If you did, you not only got a picture of just how hard selecting tournament teams from the Big East is going to be, but you also got a solid, hard-to-deny example of just what the Final Four Blog was talking about yesterday with how important free throws are. The Friars shot something like 35%, while the Irish hit at about 80%. In a close game, the free shots made all the difference. Have we made out point? Okay, moving on. The Big East. It’s going to be a real beast for the selectors when it comes time to pick teams making the tournament. Take a look at the jumbled mess we’re already looking at here:
