The Mountain West Shoot Around at ESPN

While the SEC, ACC and Pac-10 might get most of the attention when the college basketball season is in full swing, this Final Four Blog is going to give some love to the outsiders, at least while the offseason is as prolonged as a presidential campaign or the NBA playoffs. The guys at ESPN have been putting together Shoot Around pieces for each conference. While some of the conferences clearly get better, longer and more in-depth pieces written about them, the one on the Mountain West conference is still pretty good.

Matt Youmans writes the ESPN Shoot Around of the MWC, and if you re a basketball fan of one of these schools, you might want to check it out. There’s a good article about Wink Adams, the shooting guard at UNLV. As you might already be aware, UNLV ans BUY both made the NCAA Tournament last season, and according to the expert opinions, they probably have the best chance of getting back there again. Check out the article, and then start thinking about getting some tickets for MWC games. Here’s a hint that Matt Youmans gives you: Utah has a particularly sexy schedule. They play Cal, Oregon, LSU, Gonzaga, Utah State and Oklahoma.
