Xavier Henry Going to Kansas, Finally; Coack K Not Going to Lakers

Xavier Henry, a 6-6 guard who was supposed to go to Kansas next season, put some of the Jayhawks faithful supporters on high alert when it was announced recently that the Henry family would discuss Xavier’s future at Kansas in a family meeting. But Kansas hoops fans can lay their fears to rest, because Xavier is coming to Kansas. Hetexted a sports radio program to tell them, “I’m going to Kansas and that’s final.” One wonders whether that was a statement said by Xavier or his brother, C.J., or someone else at the family discussion.

In other news… Coach Krzyzewski of the Duke Blue Devils has announced that he is not going to seek the Los Angeles Lakers’ head coaching job if their current head coach, Phil Jackson, retires. He said in a recent news conference:

I’m not going to the Lakers. They have one of the great coaches in the game. I don’t know where that rumor started, but there has been nothing done like that, and I’m not leaving Duke. Whatever you hear about anything like that, I will never leave Duke until I leave coaching.”
