What’s the best college basketball arena? It’s a question that gets overlooked sometimes, but for right now, at least at CBSsports.com, arenas are getting their proper treatment from the college hoops crowd. This is the very, very slow part of the year for NCAA basketball news, as the NBA Draft is through with and there are still months and months to go before any proper college basketball competition takes place. Why not talk smack about the gyms?

Right now CBS is taking a look at two arenas in the Big East, Syracuse’s huge Carrier Dome and UConn’s Gampel Pavilion. Both of these teams are very good but they have very dissimilar arenas. Gampel is relatively small (just over 10,000 seats) compared to the Carrier Dome (over 33,500). But does size make that big of a difference when it comes to the fan’s experience. Obviously it’s more fun to be at the arena, so more tickets would help more people get into the action. But sometimes the arena’s louder when it’s smaller. Make sure to vote for your favorites.
